The study examined the influence of different pH levels on the growth of two Pleurotus ostreatus strains when cultivated solely on pectin as a source of nutrients. It was observed that the P. ostreatus 330 strain was found to be more suitable for cultivation on pectin-containing media compared to the P. ostreatus 228 strain, indicating its potential for the effective utilization of industrial lignocellulosic waste.
