Streptomycetes are widely distributed in soil and show strong metabolic versatility and stress tolerance, making them key microorganisms for soil bioremediation. This paper reviews their ecological characteristics, degradation of organic pollutants, detoxification of heavy metals, roles in soil microecology, current challenges and future prospects.
