BIO-BASED TERPENE-DERIVED LATEX COATINGS FOR ENHANCED WOOD RESISTANCE TO BIODEGRADATION AND WEATHERING

Bio-based latex coatings derived from terpenes are considered as an alternative to petrochemical systems for wood protection. Terpenes are sufficiently available and suitable for polymer synthesis. Such coatings demonstrate enhanced antifungal resistance while maintaining their properties, and their transparency affects photodegradation under UV exposure.
