This article is devoted to the study of the influence of the skin microbiome on the formation of human body odors. It describes in detail the peculiarities of the structure of the skin, the diversity of bacteria that inhabit it depending on the area, and the processes of odor formation. It mentions factors that can influence the microbiome, and explores methods for using probiotics and artificial microbial communities to reduce unpleasant odor.
