AGE-RELATED CHANGES IN FTIR SPECTRAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DROSOPHILA MELANOGASTER BODY: COMPARISON OF 3-DAY-OLD AND 11-DAY-OLD IMAGO

Age-related changes in FTIR-ATR spectra of Drosophila melanogaster were analyzed using pseudo-Voigt decomposition. Significant spectral shifts between 3- and 11-day-old flies revealed sex-specific aging patterns alongside shared molecular signatures, including protein aggregation and lipid oxidation, highlighting both common and dimorphic aging mechanisms.
