This article is devoted to the analysis of the use of the antibiotic amphotericin B and methods to reduce its toxic effects. Amphotericin B is a very important antifungal agent in clinical practice, but its conventional deoxycholate form often causes severe side effects, the main of which is nephrotoxicity. The main method of reducing this effect is currently the use of lipid forms of the drug.
