Despite of the development of various antibacterial drugs, the emergence of multidrug-resistant bacteria is a major problem today. Bacteriophages are agents of antibacterial treatment and have such advantages: specificity of lysis of target bacteria and low toxicity. Currently, there are a wide range of applications of these biological agents in the field of medicine, pharmacy and biotechnology.
